We're planning today for a brighter future tomorrow,
by engaging in programs that promote environmental and economic
sustainability.
Paperlessness: With a mandate to reduce
paper use at NicLyn offices by 90%
in time for June 30 2006, we are taking strong measures
to lower our consumption of environmentally-taxing goods
and demonstrate the viability of the paperless office.
Conservation: No matter one's opinion
of the climate change debate, we can all agree that pollution
affects health and that utilities cost money borne by companies
and their customers. Especially for a service-based company
such as ours, the business case for conservation is clear.
NicLyn invests in efficient systems and processes that minimize
the negative impact on the world around us.
Employee Education: Most commonly, sustainable
development (SD) will manifest itself in small, regular,
day-to-day decisions, rather than large ones. For this reason,
NicLyn incorporates SD training into all employee orientations,
to help our consultants better understand and appreciate
the external effects of their actions and behaviours.
